Passing of Raymond Sturgeon

It is with great sadness that the Partners and Associate Consultants of Allied Support Services International Group (ASSIG) announce the passing of our founder, leader, mentor and dear friend, Ray Sturgeon on 28 November 2023.

As anyone who met him knows, Ray was a force of nature.  After a long and distinguished career as a Logistics Officer in the Canadian Forces, Ray continued his service to Canada rising from Section Head to Senior Assistant Deputy Minister for Materiel at the Department of National Defence.  He also served as Canada’s National Armaments Director to NATO between 1992 and 1994.

Retirement did not slow Ray in any way.  He joined CFN Consultants, becoming its Managing Senior Partner.  Then in 2010, Ray formed ASSIG, dynamically leading it as President until he  stepped back in July 2023, to give the next generation a chance to build on his success.

In their time of loss, our thoughts are with Alice and Ray’s extended family.
