Rick Froh

President & Partner
Rick Froh brings over 25 years of command and staff experience in combat and construction engineering units, as well as general staff appointments within the Canadian Army.

Following his military service, he spent nearly two decades at NATO Headquarters, where he held senior leadership positions including Deputy Assistant Secretary General (DASG) Armaments, DASG Operations, and Senior NATO Civilian in Iraq. From 2016 to 2024 he was an Honourary Professor at the School of Law and Politics at Cardiff University,

He currently serves as Executive Director of the Dr Manfred Wörner Circle at NATO, and acts as Strategic Advisor to the CEO of Terida. A graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada and the US Army Command and General Staff College., Rick continues to contribute to allied defence dialogue and institutional cooperation through his advisory and academic roles.

Gunnar Borch

Chief Executive Officer & Partner
Gunnar Borch concluded a distinguished 42-year career as a Captain in the Royal Norwegian Navy before serving as General Manager of the NATO Airlift Management Agency (NAMA) and later within the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA).

With more than 25 years in senior NATO and international leadership roles, including Director of the Movement Coordination Centre Europe and Director of the Sealift Coordination Centre at Eindhoven Airbase, he brings deep expertise in multinational armaments cooperation, logistics, and defence planning. He is a graduate of the Norwegian Naval Academy and the Senior National Staff College.

Sean Midwood

Vice President, North America & Partner
Sean Midwood served in the Royal Canadian Navy, specializing in Combat Systems, and held senior operational and engineering roles, including OIC during the delivery of HMCS REGINA to the RCN, Major Crown Project Manager for CANTASS and SQS 510 sonar systems and Project Engineer for the NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System. At the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), he led Joint Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (JISR) teams and later served as Chief of Staff within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, supporting NATO’s technology strategy and innovation programs.

Sean holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and brings extensive experience in governance, international programme management, and defence technology integration. He continues to advise and guide technology firms entering NATO and EU procurement frameworks, reflecting his commitment to advancing innovation within allied defence environments.

Colonel Hubert Heuer (Ret’d)

Retired from the German Air Force after more than 40 years of service, including as Chief of Logistics, NATO Airborne Early Warning and Control Programme Management Agency (NAPMA). He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Degree in Systems Management.

Colonel Bogdan Horvat (Ret’d)

Former Company Commander in the Slovenian Army, later served as Slovenian National Armaments Director’s Representative at NATO Headquarters, first Chair of the NATO Airlift Management Organization, and Executive Officer at the NATO Ground Surveillance Management Agency (NAGSMA).

Lior Ishai

Lior Ishai is a marketing technology and infrastructure strategist with over 20 years of experience in branding, marketing, corporate/investor communications, and technology architecture. Early in his career, he served in an operational air force squadron, coordinating with U.S. counterparts and receiving an official commendation; shaping his focus on disciplined, interoperable systems and readiness-style thinking.

He has supported over $85M in capital raising, led multiple exits, and as CEO guided an AR/VR company to a public listing on the CSE. Lior designs data-driven marketing architectures spanning inbound and content strategy, paid media, SEO, automation, and lead-generation systems, and advises firms in marine technology, real estate, mining, and emerging tech on aligning their growth engines with institutional and investor expectations.

Osman Tasman

Osman Tasman is a Mechanical Engineer (B.Sc.) and Industrial Engineer (M.Sc.). His early career included academic service at Istanbul Technical University, production planning in the Turkish vehicle industry, and defence planning at Turkish Armed Forces Headquarters.

From 1989 to 2024, he held a range of positions within NATO, serving at the SHAPE Technical Center - NATO C3 Agency in the Netherlands, NATO operations in the Balkans, and at NATO Headquarters in Belgium. Specialized in Land Armaments, he provided advisory support across key capability areas, including dismounted soldier system, ground platforms, air defence, military engineering, CBRN defence, C4ISTAR, and munitions. He also served as Secretary to the NATO Army Armaments Group (NAAG). His honors include the NATO Peace Medal and the Order of Saint Barbara.

Paul Savereux

Paul Savereux joined the NATO International Staff in 2001 after serving over two decades as a military engineer officer in the Canadian Army, including as Command. Officer of Le 5e Régiment du génie de combat and a Military Assistant to two Chairs of the NATO Military Committee from 1996 until 2000.

He returned, serving at NATO Headquarters for over 22 years. His last appointment was as the Director of (NATO) Defence Planning. His expertise is focused on the NATO Defence Planning Process, including the development of NATO’s Political Guidance and Minimum Capability Requirements, as well as NATO Capability Targets for Allies.
